About Us
It was in the summer of 1979 that Debi walked into the mental health unit of a nursing home. Behind the locked doors. Really! There was Bob, teaching a Bible study, playing his acoustic guitar and singing hymns. The residents fondly referred to him as "Reverend Bob".

Bob and Debi were part of their church's nursing home ministry, and this particular one was at Genesee East Convalescent Home in San Diego. So, they can truly say they met behind the locked doors of a mental unit. In ministry, mind you...

About the same time, Bob had just hooked up with a newly-formed Christian rock band known as "Dunamis". The name means power, i.e., dynamite. He played lead guitar on his Gibson Les Paul, and assisted with vocals here and there.

Soon the band started playing gigs at concerts, churches, colleges, and other outreach events. Debi became an official "roadie", and soon learned about life on the road.

1980 was a special year. A summer wedding for Bob and Debi, at Calvary Chapel of San Diego. During this time, the newlyweds continued in music ministry with Dunamis.

God had plans for the couple in 1981 - He moved them to Texas, the Dallas/Fort Worth area to be exact. Right back in the middle of Bob's home stompin' grounds. Yee Haw!

During the Texas years Bob and Debi experienced death and birth. Bob's precious daddy, Donald Gene Cash, went home to be with Jesus on July 22, 1983, after a brave battle with lung cancer. Granny Cash had also "graduated" that same year.

Debi suffered a miscarriage, and experienced many fertility problems. God heard the cries and saw the tears, and on March 13,1985, Bob and Debi welcomed the birth of their daughter, Rebekah Dawn Cash. A favorite nickname became "Beki-Boo".

One year and four months later, God answered "yes" again, when Josiah David Cash was born on July 22,1986. It was exactly three years to the day after Bob's daddy had left for heaven.

A day of mourning turned into a day of joy, was how Mema Cash put it. Mema is Bob's mom. God is wonderful. By the way, Josiah soon came to be known as, "Mr. Dip".

Those years in Texas also saw the beginning of Bob and Debi's own music ministry. It began in the early 1980's in home fellowships, and included worship with good friends and ultimately sharing in music at church, and leading kids in worship during Sunday School.

By 1987, the Cash family was living back in San Diego, and attending Maranatha Chapel. Bob joined the worship team. Debi became known as part of a "dynamic duo" as a Children's Ministry teacher.

Before long, both Debi and Bob got involved in leading worship again. They spent considerable time with Kid's Clubhouse, a large children's church ministry of Maranatha Chapel, complete with puppets and skits and more.

Other opportunities included home fellowships and small worship groups. They joined up with friends and formed a Christian band, performing at various events and community outreaches.

Changes came in 1991 - a move to Utah. A new job opportunity meant a long-distance relocation, this time to the Provo/Orem area south of Salt Lake City. The LDS population is 96% in this location. It was a great ministry move as well. Hooking up with a local Calvary Chapel, both Debi and Bob began leading worship.
The years following have further refined and honed their skills as worship leaders, songwriters, communicators, and more. Bob and Debi began concert outreaches, taking their "stuff" on the road locally while maintaining jobs, homeschooling their growing children, and growing in their walks with Jesus. An adventure to be sure!

A particular item of which they are proud is their first cd, "Eagle's Wings". A legacy to pass on to children, family, friends. Who they are in Christ; sharing His gifts from their hearts.

In 2004, the word "change" became a large and life-altering word. Bob and Debi and family said "goodbye" to their home of 13 years, and relocated to the Salt Lake Valley. The Cash's then served for the next two years at a local church in Salt Lake City.

As one of the assistant pastors on staff, Bob oversaw the church's music ministry and multimedia. Both he and Debi were grateful for the opportunity to lead worship during this time, besides being active in some other ministries as well.

The last few years have been blessed in many ways, including seeing both children make the personal commitment to Christ as Savior and Lord, and witnessing their baptism as well. Thanks be to God!

Today, Rebekah is 25, and has married the love of her life, Zak! They are so happy together! What a joy! Rebekah is still working as a teacher at a charter school which focuses on children with Autism and Asperger's syndrome.

Josiah is 24, and has moved back to Utah after a two-year stint in the Atlanta area. He is currently attending a computer tech school to learn graphic design. His heart is still beating for music ministry, and he plays drums regularly on his church's worship team. Praise the Lord!

Debi's working at a Salt Lake area healthcare and rehab community, where you will find her wearing the hat of Recreation Therapist. In a nutshell, she's planning and implementing therapeutic recreational programs that are social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual in nature. One hat - many parts!

Bob is still working in the field of Information Technology as a Quality Assurance Analyst at a large, worldwide and successful creative arts business. He enjoys it (it's a job!), and the fact that it is only three miles from home makes it even better!
